The Berkeley College Republicans is one of the largest and most active student run organizations at UC Berkeley. Affiliated with the California College Republicans and registered with UC Berkeley's Office of the Student Life, BCR offers right-minded Berkeley students the opportunity to gather behind enemy lines for a truly open discussion of the issues. BCR has six primary objectives: fight the battle of ideas, work to elect Republicans to office, foster student leadership, develop awareness of the issues, promote a host of campaign opportunities and provide members with a place to meet other like-minded students.

BCR is committed to fighting the battle of ideas on campus. Whether this means protesting on Sproul Plaza or speaking out in the classroom, we are committed to ensuring that Berkeley students are exposed to both sides of the debate and are aware of alternative positions. We believe it is fundamental that college campuses foster the free exchange of ideas, especially at the epicenter of the Free Speech Movement.

BCR is committed to electing traditional Republicans to office who support low taxes, responsible spending and secure borders. As college students, our passion and energy are invaluable assets on the campaign trail and BCR seeks to put this energy behind like-minded candidates who support our ideals on the national, state and local level.
